Change came thru and kicked the door open!!!

I honestly never thought I would live to see the day that this would happen...

The more I think about the mentality I and many black people had, the happier I am that a big part of that defeated spirit has been lifted. I am not one to think Barack is gonna be a President for black people...he is a President for America. But damn it feels good to finally know that equality can truly be realized.

Man I wish my grandmother and grandfather were still alive to see this.

This has yet to really sink in with me man. I was speechless last night. But I'm just proud right now. Proud of him, proud of our country, and proud of Black people.

This is inspirational to the an infinite power.

I agree man. Never thought it would happen until it actually happened. It's a beautiful thing. I just hope people set real expectations for him. There's a long road ahead & reparations are not in the forecast. LOL

And one of the great parts about it is that we helped make history happen.

Fellas I think I am gonna be speechless until I have kids to tell about it. Man I have been pulled over and asked to be searched for not having a front plate on my car (DWB). I have been looked at as a thug because I have locs. I have been called a monkey because I have brown skin. Now when I teach my kids about the racism they may face I will be able to tell them the best ending to the story that I could have ever imagined.
I think the shit just hit me fellas.

i totally agree with you, i have been really not much for being able to put how i feel into words...my father has been really sick lately but he did infact get up and voteon last Tuesday...i was able to get a copy of the washingtonpost that said "Obama Made History" and in his semi-conscious state he said "that he did-he did make history" he smiled and went back out into a sleep...

but it made my heart smile that this high yella fella from Lynchberg, VA who has dealth with racism as much from his own race as any other...was able to see this time!!!
